Justin Bieber - Freedom. EP REVIEW

Image
The time in the top left isn’t the right font, this art isn’t even a real screenshot. I honestly didn’t think I was gonna cover this. Either way, let’s at least set up the context for this project. Justin Bieber, one of the biggest pop stars on the planet, has just released his newest album Justice a few weeks back. While I personally think it could’ve been without the tasteless MLK samples, it was definitely an improvement over some of his past work. Bieber was in a bit of an upward trend, and I was honestly pretty excited to see where he goes next. Out of the blue, on Easter Sunday, he drops Freedom. , a short little gospel EP just because? I’m not sure why he did this, but it’s out. Wanna see how I felt about this? Keep on reading to see. Justin Drew Bieber. What the actual fuck happened here? Does he only have yes men? He has to, right? How the fuck did the idea of a gospel EP get inside your head? As I was listening to this, I was thinking ‘Is this a joke? Did he lose a bet?’ and ...

Chance the Rapper - The Big Day ALBUM REVIEW

Image
This was not the planned review today. I did something funny, and now I simply feel like doing this because this will also be funny. Earlier today, Chance had decided to put out a specific tweet: “What’s your favorite part about The Big Day ?” Infamously, this album was met with harsh criticism from his fan base because of the lack of overall talent that populated his earlier mixtapes was nonexistent on this album, his first full length album, actually. I replied to the tweet with my opinion, and, uh, he blocked me. He blocked a lot of people, but it’s just so petty to put out a tweet you know is gonna have a reaction you hate. Maybe he needed attention, who knows? Either way, just for fun, let me give a good analysis on the uninitiated of why The Big Day sucks ass. The Big Day is a rap album with pop and gospel influences. Now, let me go through each song to show you the worst bar to show you how bad the verse is. I will also add a sentence or two after it: All Day Long "And sh...

6ix9ine - TattleTales ALBUM REVIEW

Image
Before you read this review, I know what you’re thinking. Why am I wasting my time with this guy? First off, I need content, but that’s not the important part. Throughout 6ix9ine’s relatively short career, he’s been grabbing headlines left and right. From being kicked out of a gang to testifying to the court of his former gang members, he’s famous for everything that he’s done except for his music. Just to let everyone know, I do not think this man should have a career in music. His activities, which include pedophilia, are inexcusable for him as a person, and it bewilders me that he has a fanbase as large as it is. Either way, I like to try and separate the art from the artist in this type of situation. I can still think that Thriller is one of the best pop albums of all time, whether or not the allegations against Michael Jackson are true. So from here on out, this will only be about 6ix8ine’s career in music. I will only judge the album from the context of the music itself, not his...
