Rick Ross - Richer Than I Ever Been ALBUM REVIEW

I don’t know why he changed the cover at the last second, it was much better. Is it safe to say that Rick Ross is a legend at this point? Hell, the words ‘Maybach’ and ‘Music’ put together remind me of Ross now. That’s a big deal. Either way, Ross has just been vibing for the past few years, making music for himself, and I honestly respect that. Ross has hit that point in the career where he doesn’t exactly have to do everything to stay in the limelight because he made it. Unless something really bad happens, he isn’t going anywhere any time soon. He recently dropped a new album, Richer Than I Ever Been , and it’s a nice change of pace, mainly because it’s only 12 tracks. Let’s just not waste time and get into it. Honestly, what else do I even have to say about Ross? He’s essentially doing his thing. I think 21 Savage has one of his best verses ever on “Outlawz” and the beat on “The Pulitzer” is absolutely insane. The chorus on “Wiggle” made me audibly laugh the first time I heard it, ...

Miley Cyrus - Plastic Hearts ALBUM REVIEW

Miley Cyrus has always had a spotty track record since her time at Disney came to a close. Her first album since then, Bangerz , was okay at best, with some massive hits like “Wrecking Ball” coming from it. After that comes with a very hot take from me: Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz is not a bad album. It was actually quite adventurous and risk-taking for her career, and while I see that it has its flaws, I can commend it for the big risk that this album took. Then, she moved back to her country roots with Younger Now , which just went under my radar and I actually never listened to it. Now, her newest studio album, Plastic Hearts , has a bit of a rock-edge with features from rock legends Joan Jett and Billy Idol, along with pop starlet Dua Lipa. Let’s get right into it! Plastic Hearts is a pop album with rock and dance influences. Well, let me get some of the positives out of the way. The switch-up in sound is pretty nice, moving towards that revivalism approach that permeated Dua...

Dave - We’re All Alone In This Together ALBUM REVIEW

This is officially my 300th review. This is a massive milestone for me, so thank you for everything so far. 🤍 Throughout the past few months, I’ve been getting into UK hip-hop lately. I’ve found a lot of artists in this space through Twitter, and outside of names like Stormzy, Lancey Fouxx, my personal favorite Skepta, and the rapper we’re gonna be talking about here, Dave. His debut album, Psychodrama , is highly praised as one of the best hip-hop albums in recent years, and while I personally don’t think that, I totally understand why. The concept of that album being a year-long therapy session is a tough topic to tackle, but Dave certainly has one of the better albums in that vein across all genres. When his newest album, We’re All Alone In This Together , was announced, I was pretty excited to see what he could do next. I ended up avoiding all the singles from this, and that’s always pretty exciting to me. With features from Stormzy, Giggs, Ghetts, Meekz Manny, Wizkid, BOJ, Snoh A...
