Don Toliver - Life of a Don ALBUM REVIEW

It’s cool that the title got changed from LOAD to Life of a Don. As much as I would’ve loved the jokes about it, it would’ve been the only conversation about it.

Don Toliver is one hell of an underrated artist. I may have butchered saying that, but ignore that anyway. Don’s pretty talented, and sadly, I ended up not being a giant fan of his debut album, Heaven and Hell. That didn’t hurt how much I’ve liked him, though, since he hasn’t missed on any of his features in between his last album and this one. I’ve avoided the singles from his new album, Life of a Don, so let’s not waste any more time and see how it is.

If you’re a fan of Travis Scott, you’ll definitely be a fan of this album, mainly because he’s a Travis protege. At times, it really seems like he’s trying to trend-chase and have a lot of good hooks for Tik Tok, but there’s really nothing wrong with that. Don has good vocals to boot. I mean, did you hear “Moon” off of Donda? I do think that this is his best full project yet, but even then, there are still some flaws. There really aren’t any bad moments on here, but nothing truly stellar either. It’s a good vibe. There's not much else to say about it.
